Law Warfare Switching from Clio

Bring Your Whole Practice.
We Do the Moving.

◆

Changing practice software shouldn’t mean retyping your firm. When you move to Law Warfare™, we bring your clients, matters, billing history, notes, communications, court dates, and documents over for you — into your firm’s own private system.

We have already moved a complete firm off Clio this way: every client, every matter, the billing history, the notes and communications, the court dates, and every document.

What Comes Over

Clients & Contacts

Every client record — names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and dates of birth.

Clients already in your Law Warfare system are matched, not duplicated. Reference contacts such as courts and opposing counsel can be left out so they don’t clutter your client list.

Matters

Open and closed matters, each attached to the right client, with practice area, responsible attorney, open and close dates, and statute of limitations dates.

Billing History

Past invoices with their totals, what was paid, and what is still due — so your receivables history comes with you.

Tasks, Notes & Communications

Open and completed tasks, matter notes, and the communication history on each file.

Court Dates

Hearings and court dates placed on the right matter and on your Law Warfare calendar.

Documents

Every document, filed into the matter it belongs to — pleadings, correspondence, discovery, photographs, and the rest of the file.

How the Move Works

  1. Export. Clio exports each section of your data separately. We walk you through every export so nothing is left behind.
  2. Map and preview. We match Clio’s columns to Law Warfare’s fields and run a dry run first. You see exactly what will be created — how many clients, matters, invoices, and documents — before anything is written.
  3. Import. The data is brought in quietly: no alerts fire, no automations run, and no client receives a text or email because of the move.
  4. Review together. We check the result with you. If anything needs to be redone, the import can be undone as a whole and run again.

Your connections are set up fresh in Law Warfare — your Outlook calendar, QuickBooks, card payments, and client texting — and you can keep working in Clio until the day you switch.

Questions Firms Ask

How long does it take?
It depends mostly on how many documents you have. Client, matter, and billing records come over quickly; a large document library takes longer to transfer. We give you an honest estimate once we see your export.

Who can see my data during the move?
Your Law Warfare system is your firm’s own private installation — not a shared database with other firms. Your data goes into it and nowhere else.

Do I have to clean up my Clio data first?
No. We bring it over as it is. Matching existing clients and leaving out reference contacts happens as part of the move.

What does it cost?
Sign up annually and your migration and staff onboarding session are included. Otherwise, ask us — we’ll look at the size of your firm and your data and tell you plainly.
