JEFFERSON, Ga., Oct. 1, 2026 — Law Warfare LLC today announced Law Warfare Recon™, a legal research tool built into the Law Warfare practice management and trial preparation platform. Recon helps attorneys research an issue, read the governing law, and verify citations, all within the matter they are already working on. Recon covers all 50 states and federal law. Law Warfare has sold 310 attorney seats across six states since its launch on Sept. 15.
A research memo from the file. Law Warfare Second Chair A.I. reads the matter’s file, looks up the governing statutes, court rules, and leading cases in the Law Library, and drafts a research memo. It then checks every case citation and quotation in the memo against the Law Library and attaches that check to the memo, so the attorney can see what was verified. The process takes a few minutes.
Citation checking for your own work. Attorneys can paste in a brief, a motion, or a citation list, and Recon checks each citation, including citations to the United States Code. Each quotation is checked against the opinion it cites.
Case treatment you can read for yourself. For each later opinion that cites a case, the AI reads the citing passage and quotes the words that show how the court treated it. Until an attorney confirms a treatment signal, Recon marks it as an AI suggestion. Once one attorney confirms it, the confirmation applies for every firm on the platform. Recon treats every signal as a lead, not a conclusion: read the opinions before relying on a case.
Direct research across all 50 states. Attorneys can also use Recon to research legal issues, find citations, and pull up code sections directly. Statutes and court rules come from official legislative and court sources, and each section shows its source and date.
Part of a platform that runs the practice and prepares the case. Recon is one part of Law Warfare, built by a trial attorney with thirty-five years in the courtroom. On the practice side, Law Warfare handles client intake and relationship management, matter management with practice-area workflows, e-signature, two-way client texting, and trust accounting. On the case side, Law Warfare Second Chair A.I. helps attorneys prepare for trial, work through discovery, and research the law. The attorney tries the case; Law Warfare helps prepare it.
“In thirty-five years of trying cases, I’ve learned that the citation you didn’t check is the one opposing counsel will,” said Scott R. Tolbert, Co-founder of Law Warfare. “Recon doesn’t do the lawyering for you. It does the legwork and shows its work, so you can check it before a judge does.”
Recon is available now to Law Warfare subscribers. Attorneys can learn more at lawwarfare.net.
